What is die off?
Die off is a term referring to the potential side effects from detoxification of systemic yeast organisms from the body. Typical detox side effects can include headache, bowel disturbances, and nausea. These are rare with the Oxy Program however.
Die off is actually termed the Herxheimer Effect. The healing crisis aka feeling worse before feeling better. It is very normal and a good sign, but can be overwhelming for some extreme cases who should taper down to a smaller dose per your Wellness Coach or Nutritionist. http://www.silver-colloids.com/Pubs/herxheimer.ht…
Herxheimer Reaction….Die Off Effect….Whichever term one prefers, it doesn’t matter. With that said….there are a host of negatives when it comes to getting rid of Candida. My main struggle with the ‘die-off’ effect is extreme weakness, fatigue, and a feeling of ‘drunkedness’.
Most of these side effects can be prevented or greatly reduced by controlling the rate at which the die off occurs.
So many people tend to "fear" severe die off when in reality, the die off process with liquid oxygen is often very minimal. Only about 10percent of the people we have worked with have significant die off and this can be controlled by slowing down the detox.
hi i have just a half of a bottle of oxy aloe flush left. i was feeling fine until a few days ago when i was overcome with fatigue. shortly after this i began experiencing muscle aches and twitching and muscle weakness. a feeling off light headedness when i go to stand up. i am wondering if this is the die off and also how long will it last? i scored very high on the candida test. i have been feeling like this for 3 days now.
Die off syndrome can occur at different rates and times for each person. Picture healing like layers of an onion. As one layer is removed another surfaces. Healing comes in stages, which can be different for each individual.
I also think it is important to avoid foods containing vinegar which may adversely promote candida growth as well
Hello. I have been reading the website for a few days now and am wondering whether or not I have Candida. For awhile now I haven’t been feeling well. I constantly feel mucus on my throat that doesn’t go away. It make me cough occasionally, but the coughing doesn’t remove the mucas. It is way worse at night. I wake up about once a night feeling ill. I sometimes cough that turns to gagging and notice a white film on my tongue. If you could please let me know whether or not this is Candida I would appreciate it.
Take our Candida Self-Test on the home page of this site and advise us of your score.
I have experienced systemic candida die off to it's fullest effect. I have nausea, intestional disturbances, fatigue, light headedness and generally ill all the time. This is my second time I'm doing the program because my systemic candida came back….I'm hopefully this will be the last….good luck to everyone who experiences this awful problem….Any questions feel free to email me.
I just started the oxyflush cleanse and was wondering how your first cleanse went. Did you have die-off then too? How long before the candida came back? I am at day two and having terrible stomach upset including vomiting last night. it's better today thank God… How are you die-off symptoms doing?
did the flush help the first time i am also experiencing the die off to fullest.
I am almost 3 weeks into the program and am experiencing a resurgence of candida: vaginal discharge, bloating, bowel movements, post nasal drip.
I am worried about the treatment not working. Are these die off symptoms?
Thank you for your answer. I have been cautious with carbs and sugar.
I am having the same thing its my week three and vaginal discharge and low back pain and kindof a rash on my arms..
Keep in mind that each person is different!! It's normal to want improvement right away but the human body doesn't always work that way. People we see have often been suffering from candida overgrowth for months or years so it's a bit illogical to think that it can be cleared up in a few weeks. Eventually the oxygen will eliminate the problem. How long varies from person to person and depends on a variety of factors.
Because our program has been "buffered" to control the rate of detoxification, 95% of those we work with never experience any significant die off when using our program. In the rare cases that this should occur, simple contact our offices and we can slow the detox program down so that your will not feel the ill effects. Likely you have been dealing with this problem for quite some time so there is no rush to the end. We understand that you want to feel better as soon as possible but there is no reason to be unnecessarily uncomfortable in the process.
The rate and severity of "die off" depends on many factors such as age, overall health, other health challenges, sex, and where the yeast overgrowth is located in the body. In almost every case, die off can be controlled by adjusting the dose of the supplement as well as the duration of time. Detox is a great thing but too much of a good thing is not usually beneficial or necessary. Keep in mind that if you have had this problem for some time, it is illogical that the body can eliminate it over night.
I know I have significant candida overgrowth because after 1 day on the Oxy Aloe flush I feel awful die-off-extreme weakness, fatigue, brain fog, nausea. I can hardly function. I have contacted the company but it's the weekend so they will no doubt get back to me Monday and more than likely drop the dose. I must be one of the 10% who have experienced die-off while on the protocol but before starting I thought I might because mine is of serious nature. Atleast I know it's working!
Die off can be related to many factors. Two of the most important would include the overall health of the individual and how long they have had the issue. Die off is directly controlled by the body's ability to detoxify waste from the soft tissues. The Oxy supplement we recommend is buffered and as such rarely produces significant die off.
