Coconut Oil and Candida

What would the connection be? Coconut oil is a wonderfully healthy saturated fat that has many potential health benefits. One of those benefits is its effect on the immune system. The fatty acids in coconut oil have been shown to help regulate the immune response so that it is not too sluggish or to aggressive. There are several oils that possess these unique fatty acids such as olive oil, avocado oil, and palm oil but the best fatty acid combination seems to be found in coconut oil. Besides when you factor in all the other potential benefits from using it such as better skin, less body dryness, better digestion, and the avoidance of free radicals from unsaturated fats, it makes sense to add this oil to the diet.     Anything that can support a strong immune system is important when one has a yeast overgrowth since the candida can over-stimulate the immune system and over time cause t to become fatigued.
