Do allergy Nose sprays cause candida?

Do allergy Nose sprays cause candida? We have heard many times from our clients that their doctors have told them that systemic candida or yeast overgrowth is impossible unless a patient has a severe immune suppressive disorder. I find this strange since the medical profession is so highly drug driven. There are many classes of drugs that carry the warning “do not use if you have a candida overgrowth”. Certainly if the drug companies recognize not only the existence of systemic candida and how common it is, then certainly so should the doctors…but they don’t. Take our FREE Candida Symptom Test today to see if you have a systemic overgrowth.

One example of this is nasal sprays that contain a steroid compound because this is one of the biggest causes of a systemic yeast overgrowth in the first place. Since the sinuses are a prime location for yeast overgrowth, this warning is appropriate as such applications would likely make the sinus yeast situation potentially much worse and I discuss this more in my video Dr Whiting on Candida and Yeast.

Other medications that can contribute to systemic yeast infections include all antibiotics, steroid compounds, and the immune suppressant drugs. Additionally candida albicans can be transmitted sexually between partners. Thankfully more and more doctors are beginning to realize that otherwise reasonably healthy people can develop systemic yeast infections just like the localized variety. Since nasal sprays contain steroids, which is what makes them work, it is understandable that they would aggravate a yeast overgrowth. The sinuses are one of the most favored spots for candida overgrowth and also one of the hardest sites to eliminate.
